Description: A manuscript collection of fifteen keyboard pieces apparently for organ.
Titles: According to RISM no titles are given to any of the Scarlatti sonatas; only tempo markings are given.

Comments: This collection was not available during the ‘Texting Scarlatti’ project.
Based on the data on RISM, we can conclude that the Scarlatti pieces in Rome Archeologia were likely arrangements based on the Czerny edition (1838-1840). Besides the fact that these pieces do not appear in a single printed edition before Czerny, the tempo marking for K434 in Rome Archeologia (Moderato espressivo) is only found in the Czerny edition (all extant witnesses give Andante instead).
Date: This collection is dated to the second half of the nineteenth century on RISM.
