Description: A manuscript collection consisting of 131 folios. Contains keyboard sonatas by anonymous composers as well as Joaquín Nebra, Diego Llorente y Sola, Manuel (?) Gascón, Gregorio Artal, Antonio Soler, Domenico Scarlatti, and others.

Watermarks: Yáñez Navarro 2015Yáñez Navarro, Celestino. 2015. ‘Nuevas aportaciones para el estudio de las sonatas de Domenico Scarlatti: los manuscritos del Archivo de Música de las catedrales de Zaragoza’. PhD dissertation, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. describes two watermarks: one of a coat of arms with the legend ‘Tortosa’; the other of a four-legged animal. This description closely matches watermark 0027455A in the FILHISP database.

Titles: ‘Sonata / 4.o punto alto / (Soler)’ (K27); ‘Sonata / 5.o tono / Scarlati’ (K527); ‘Sonata / Scarlati 5.o tono / All.o’ (K512); ‘7.a Sonata / del mismo / Autor [erroneously attributed to Mariano Cosuenda]’ (K29).

Copyist: A single Spanish copyist.

Comments: K512 (D major) is transposed to C major in this collection.

Date: According to Yáñez Navarro this collection is datable to the mid-eighteenth century.
