Description

Provenance: Part of the collection of Adeodatus Josephus Philippus du Beine de Malchamps (1717-1803), also known as Baron du Beine (or Baron von DuBeine). Du Beine’s library was auctioned by his son in 1813, and was at least partly acquired by Archduke Rudolph of Austria (1788-1831).

Description: A manuscript copy of K30. A single quire consisting of two bifolia (223x310mm).

Rastrum: Stave size: 9mm; stave distance: 11mm; total stave span: 191mm.

Watermark: Tre lune motif with letters REAL (selenometry: 82/12).

Title: The name of Alessandro Scarlatti appears to have been added later.

Copyist: A single professional Viennese copyist.

Comments: This manuscript was not available during the ‘Texting Scarlatti’ project.

Date: Second half of the eighteenth century; possibly 1760s or later?
